Make money with your HD camera!

We're seeking 1080i HDV footage for an upcoming project.

Sony HDR-FX1 / HVR-Z1 users, listen up! Plasma Window is seeking beautiful beach and cityscape footage from major cities all across America and the world.

Here are our requirements: We're looking for spectacular cityscape shots (skylines, monuments, waterways, nature, beaches etc...) for an upcoming HD-DVD project. Each shot needs to be a locked down scene at least 5 minutes long. No pans, zooms, vibration or out of focus shots please. All shots must be well lit with proper white balance and filtering. No backlit shots unless it adds to the artistic value of the shot. Wide angle shots preferred. Make sure your shot is level. Golden-hour shots (as the sun rises/sets) are a plus. All shots must be in 1080i/60 or 1080i/30 format - HDV preferred. We MAY accept 720p if the source camera is a 3CCD. Nat sound is preferred but not required. All times of day (morning, afternoon, evening) will be considered. It's the perfect chance to make some money on your vacation.


For cityscapes, major cities only please. Beach/nature shots can be from anywhere.

Los Angeles - Downtown skyline/Hollywood etc..
Seattle - Skyline with Space needle
New York - Skyline w/Brooklyn Bridge foreground
San Diego - Skyline shot from Coronado
Las Vegas - Compressed shot looking down strip
St. Louis - Gateway Arch
Washington D.C. - Various
London - Skyline shot from across the Thames
Paris - Skyline with Eiffel tower/Arc De Triumph
San Francisco - Golden Gate Bridge/city in background
Chicago - Miami - Philly - Boston - Venice - Rio etc...

Beaches - Blue/turquoise waters w/Palm trees etc..

You name it... if it's a great shot... we just might buy it.


How do I submit my shot?

E-mail a JPEG, TIFF or TARGA of one frame of your footage to submissions@plasmawindow.com

If we are interested in purchasing your video , we will contact you and request a tape dub or DVD-ROM file to verify the footage.

We will pay $250.00 per shot for the non-exclusive, worldwide lifetime rights to use the shot in any future Plasma Window products. We will not re-distribute the shot to a third party.

Once we have accepted your video, we will send you a contract. We ask that you FedEx the source tape and the signed contract to us (at our cost) and we will issue you a check for $250.00. It's that easy. We will return the source tape to you within 2-3 weeks.
